Expertise Engineering works more like an engineering department than a group of consultants or experts. Product development is a team sport and words like ‘consultant’ and ‘expert’ don’t fit. We have between 12 and 15 engineers (MEs, EEs, and programmers) on staff; that is about how many engineers a $20M company having a product line to develop and sustain would have. Product design considers conceptualizing, prototyping, documentation of all sorts, testing, tooling design, manufacturing considerations, cost considerations…….
